Welcome Picnic
Welcome Picnic is an annual MFIS event held at the beginning of the fall semester to welcome newly-arriving international students, scholars and their families. Brittingham Park, located on Monona Bay, is a perfect setting to enjoy a fall day in Madison. Each year hundreds of international visitors gather with Madison community members for a day of food, fun and friendship.

Status​​
The 2026 MFIS Fall Welcome Picnic is scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, September 6 at Brittingham Park (829 West Washington Avenue, Madison).
We warmly invite all international students, scholars, and their families to join us for a fun afternoon of food, community, and connection as we kick off the new academic year!
